Steyning,
West Sussex

The conservatory

Springwells Hotel lies in the picturesque and unspoilt market town of Steyning, nestling in the heart of the
South Downs and providing an excellent centre from which to explore West Sussex. Once a Georgian
merchant's house, Springwells has been sympathetically converted into a charming 11-bedroom hotel,
offering the personal attention and comfort associated with a small, privately owned establishment.
All the guest rooms have been furnished with comfort in mind and some have four-poster beds.
In the lounge there is a fully licensed bar for the use of guests, and there is an adjoining Victorian conservatory
which overlooks the attractive country garden.

Steyning is rich in history and its old streets are full of timber-framed buildings. Overlooked by the
famous Chanctonbury Ring, the area abounds in lanes and footpaths linking Downs, river
and small hamlets, many with ancient churches and small inns.
