This ancient historic house, dating from the 15th Century,
nestles in an unspoilt valley, down a single track road, in
the tiny hamlet of Glascwm. The Yat, a family run guest house,
is a rural retreat which serves organic food wherever possible
from its own vegetable garden and orchard, has spring water
on tap and provides guests with a comfortable and peaceful
place to stay. There are 2 bed-rooms, one double and one twin
bedded, both en-suite. The extensive library is available
for guests to use and a beautiful garden surrounds the house,
where guests may sit
and enjoy the views.
The house features in Alastair Sawday's "Special Places
To Stay" website and is graded 3 Stars with "Visit
Wales"
This beautiful, unspoilt countryside is a haven for walkers
and other outdoor enthusiasts
and places such as Hay-on-Wye, Brecon and Builth Wells are
easily reached, with festivals and shows on
throughout the year.
