Pedigree Cottage is a comfortable holiday home situated within 5 minutes of a dog friendly beach and ideal for a break with your pet in this beautiful area. There is another longer beach just 15 minutes walk or a short drive away. The cottage has one double bedroom with king-size bed and views to the beach and hills beyond, a second bedroom with bunk beds, shower room, open plan living room with T.V. open plan kitchen and a conservatory. The garden is fully fenced making it ideal for dogs and there is a private driveway.
Walkers will delight in the miles of unspoilt beaches and country walks are easily accessible by footpaths and foreshore.
The village has a shop/post office and chip shop, and 2 pubs serving a wide range of meals. The Craster Arms is very dog friendly, dogs can be taken in to one of the bar areas which serves good food and Sunday Roasts are available.
Beadnell sits in a quiet corner of Northumberland close to Seahouses and is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is the ideal base for exploring Holy Island, the Farne Islands, the Cheviot Hills and the castles of Alnwick

Nestled within 90 acres of a beautiful part of the South Tyne valley, this collection of barn conversions has been developed to create five luxury holiday cottages. They can be booked individually or collectively to accommodate extended parties. Each property has oak flooring; is well equipped with many modern appliances suitable for contemporary living and tastefully furnished throughout. Two of the cottages accept dogs:
Ghillies Cottage sleeps 3 in a king size, four-poster room and a single room. It has open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen room and a bathroom with shower over the bath.
Kingfisher Cottage sleeps 8 in a king size room with four-poster and en-suite shower, a king size double with en-suite shower, a twin bedroom and a further twin bedroom on the ground floor which is wheelchair-friendly with
en-suite shower room, wc and basin. There is an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area.
All cottages enjoy the use of a central courtyard, complete with outdoor tables and chairs and a barbecue area. The hydrotherapy spa and sauna facilities are particularly welcome after a day of enjoying this beautiful area. Ramblers and cyclists will enjoy the 15km challenge of the South Tyne Trail as well as the route along the 2000 year old boundary of the Roman Wall, which is designated a World Heritage site. |

Dogs are very welcome for no extra charge and with no restriction on number. There are plenty of places to walk dogs and let them enjoy a good run or splash in the streams, and visiting dogs are sure of a welcome from the farm's friendly pet labradors.

Holiday cottages in a farmland location just a few miles from Hadrian's Wall in the Northumberland National Park
Set within 180 acres of farmland, Scotchcoulthard Holiday Cottages are surrounded by wonderful scenery with magnificent views and not another inhabited dwelling in sight. There are four stone cottages, sleeping from one to five. All have central heating and either open fires or stoves, access to an indoor swimming pool and games room, and open out onto patio and lawned areas.
Scotchcoulthard is situated four miles north of Hadrian's Wall, and the Roman forts of Housesteads and Vindolanda, as well as The Roman Army Museum, are only a short distance away. The area is rich in wildlife, including red squirrels, which thrive in the nearby forest, along with badgers, deer, buzzards and many others. The farm includes rare breed pigs and sheep as well as chickens and shetland ponies, and the traditional hay meadows are not cut until late July, allowing many wild flowers and ground-nesting birds to be seen. The nearest town of Haltwhistle is seven miles away and has supermarkets and local shops for essentials. While Scotchcoulthard enjoys a wonderfully remote setting, it is not isolated and the Lake District and Scotland are within an hour's drive. The beaches and castles of Northumberland and the busy centres of Carlisle and Newcastle are all within comfortable reach. |
