Full English breakfasts are served in the guestroom where our visitors are welcome to cosy up by the log burning stove.

Hillside is a lovely Edwardian house set on an elevated site with dramatic views across to the Skiddaw range. Its beautiful garden compliments the house's period, with stunning borders and a lovely old fashioned feel.

We are a friendly, family home with two luxurious letting double bedrooms where we strive to cater for your every need. Both ensuite rooms have been totally refurbished to the highest of standards, have electric showers and spectacular uninterrupted views of Skiddaw. Stretch out in in the kingsized beds which are tastefully complimented with top quality bedding and pillows. Skiddaw has the added feature of a private luxury bathroom with a stunning stand alone bath. Latrigg offers spectacular views of Skiddaw and Latrigg, this room has pretty feature beams and spacious shower.

Hillside is located just minutes from the village of Portinscale, a mile to Braithwaite in one direction and a mile to the bustling town of Keswick in the other. The area is extremely dog friendly and most pubs and many shops allow dogs in with their owners, including The Farmer's Arms in Portinscale which is a two minute walk from the house. We can provide dog beds and feeding bowls etc to help out with travel clutter. Just let us know what you need and we will try to help. Guests bringing their pets will also be pleased to know that Hillside lies on the route of a pretty footpath through the fields to Braithwaite, which is perfect for walking dogs.

Brathay Lodge offers high quality bed and breakfast accommodation in Ambleside, one of the most popular towns in the
Lake District. We have 19 rooms available including double, twin and family rooms, all en-suite with Jacuzzi spa bath and have king-size beds. Our location means that numerous local restaurants, cinemas, bars and cafes are within a short walk. As well as our own excellent facilities, guests have use of the exclusive Langdale Country Club, which include a swimming pool and gym (subject to certain restrictions). Brathay Lodge has a large private, off-road car park for guests, the property is in close proximity to the many local walks, restaurants and bars. If it's wet or muddy there is always a place in the boiler room to dry out those wet clothes and footwear overnight. WiFi/Internet access is available. As pet owners ourselves we understand the importance of being with your dog at all times and it's definitely a 'Dogs Life' at Beech Hill House so there's no excuse to holiday on your own. Our bed and breakfast accommodation is totally dog friendly providing a bed, throw, towel, water bowl and chew as a welcome along with spacious rooms to relax in.
Eight minutes from J36 of the M6 motorway and just off the A590 at Witherslack we are in an unspoilt corner of the
Lake District National Park.

Our three rooms are spacious, en-suite, have king-size beds and are designed with your and your dog's comfort in mind. Two are doubles with one having a private balcony with table and chairs and steps leading to a private part of the garden and access to the drive,
while the third has an additional single bed (and folding zed-bed if needed) making it a double, twin or family room.

There are walks from the front door, a dog friendly village pub 50 yards along the road, and with being in the South Lakes it is a fabulous dog friendly place to holiday because there is the entire Lake District and South Lakes Furness Peninsulas to explore and even the Yorkshire Dales and North Lancashire with all their associated walks, attractions, mountains, hills, fells, waterfalls and beaches.
