Stowford Lodge comprises four delightful
cottages in a beautiful part of rural Devon.
We are a friendly, family run business and our holiday cottages
have been popular with visitors since the holiday lets started
in 1989. Converted from traditional stone farm buildings the cottages
are full of character and offer well equipped and comfortable
accommodation. The cottages are inspected annually by "Visit
Britain" and are rated three stars.
We have an indoor heated swimming pool (known as the 'Sheep Dip'!)
located in the old 'roundhouse' of the farm
for the exclusive use of visitors, a safe childrens' play area
and a young tree plantation.
The picturesque and secluded location gives the perfect base for
a leisurely and peaceful holiday with coastal, woodland and moorland
walks in the surrounding area and many local places of interest
to visit. The area is convenient for
Dartmoor, Exmoor and North Devon / North Cornwall coasts.
The Tarka Trail long distance footpath and cycle way passes nearby.

Delightful
cottages in a peaceful, rural location The cottages retain much of their character
with exposed stonework, vaulted ceilings and generous use of beams.
Because they are all different and vary in size they are suitable
for couples or groups wishing to holiday together in the larger
properties. Seven have been converted from traditional farm buildings
dating back to the 16th Century. Three new cottages have been added,
all with plenty of character built in. This is an excellent location for exploring the delights of Devon and Cornwall. The rugged north Cornish coastline is only 45 minutes away and Crackington Haven 30 minutes away. There are many opportunities for outdoor activities, including walking the coastal paths and the stunning countryside of Bodmin and Dartmoor, riding, fishing, sailing and surfing. We also have facilities onsite; an indoor heated pool, sauna, games room, grass tennis court, pitch and putt, children’s play area and beauty treatments. |
