Tresanton is one of the West Country's
most famous hotels, situated at the edge of the village of St
Mawes.
Originally a yachtsman's club, it has stunning views across
the sea.The dining room has a calm and cool Mediterranean atmosphere
with a mosaic floor and a terrace on two sides. They have two
rooms which take dogs, both with a terrace.
Cornwall provides ample opportunites for outdoor activities
and visitor attractions, and some of the best walks are along
the coastal paths. There is a delightful 2-mile stroll past
St Mawes castle, and through the fields beside the sea to the
14th Century church of St. Just-in-Roseland. On the other side
of the harbour there are longer walks past the lighthouse, to
Porthscatho and beyond.
