The park is central for many towns and attractions, including the cathedral cities of Ely and Bury St Edmunds, historic Cambridge and Stamford, and the seaside resorts of Cromer, Hunstanton and Wells-next-the-Sea. There are four golf courses close by and a great choice of fishing opportunities. A friendly local pub/restaurant is close by and the village of Wisbech St Mary, with its Post Office, fish and chip shop and local fruit and vegetable outlet, is just 2 miles away.
